Seven Dials has acquired Michel Roux at Home, the two Michelin-starred chef’s guide to home cooking.
Vicky Eribo, executive publisher, acquired world all-language rights from Michael Dean at Andrew Nurnberg Associates, with publication scheduled for 31st August 2023 in hardback and e-book, priced £26.00.
The publisher said: “In this latest release, Michel Roux invites readers into the heart of his home kitchen to share the mouth-watering everyday recipes he enjoys cooking and eating with his family and friends.”
It goes on to say that with a mix of family classics that have been passed down through the Roux family, newer dishes that Roux loves to cook with his wife and daughter, and his own childhood favourites, "this is accessible French food to cook at home".
Drawing on his years of experience as a chef and restaurateur, at the core of each recipe is the use of simple, fresh ingredients and carefully crafted flavour combinations. Moreover, alongside meals selected for different times of the week, there is a collection of five seasonal menus, each perfect for special family celebrations at home.
Eribo said: “For the first time Michel will be showing readers how he applies the quality and creativity he is known for to his home-cooking. Full of stunning photography and hearty, great tasting food, Michel Roux At Home is the cookbook that we all need on our shelves.”
Roux, who has run Le Gavroche since 1991 and whose previous books have been published by both W&N and Seven Dials, said: “This is the food that I genuinely cook at home for friends and family, a celebration of the glorious and classic dishes of Provence where we have a house and long-standing family connections. I’ve had so much interest in this style of food on the back of my Food Network TV series, ’French Country Cooking’, and my new book will enable everyone to re-create my recipes to enjoy in their homes.”
