Sheldon Press has snapped up Alex Partridge’s "life-changing" deep dive into ADHD.
Victoria Roddam, editorial director at Sheldon Press — an imprint of John Murray Press — acquired world rights to Now It All Makes Sense: How An ADHD Diagnosis Brought Clarity To My Life from Niamh Rooney at the Outreach Agency. The book will be published in the UK on 16th January 2025.
"Aged just 21, Alex Partridge founded UNILAD and LADBible, social news sites which now have a following of 100 million people around the globe," the synopsis says. "A legal case over ownership in 2017 tipped him over the edge of the cliff into alcoholism, triggering years of mental health issues until, aged 34, he was diagnosed with ADHD."
The synopsis adds: "In his chart-topping podcast, ’ADHD Chatter’, Alex has spoken to dozens of experts on ADHD and related conditions in a bid to understand and improve outcomes for the neurodiverse population — and this groundbreaking book brings them all together, for the first time, in one place."
Partridge said: "ADHD has its challenges, but there are so many positive aspects too, including resilience, creativity, entrepreneurial skills and courage. I’ve used these strengths to found two global social media brands, and now I’d like to help redefine ADHD so that neurodiverse people can thrive at work, in relationships, and everywhere else."
Roddam added: "Alex’s incredible ’ADHD Chatter’ podcast has helped countless individuals make sense of their own ADHD diagnosis. We are so thrilled to be publishing Now It All Makes Sense, and look forward to supporting Alex as he continues to use his unique platform and entrepreneurial brilliance to campaign for more understanding and better outcomes for all those with ADHD, or suspected ADHD."
