Simon & Schuster has announced it will publish the new book by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning Bob Woodward later this year. War tells the revelatory, behind-the-scenes story of three wars: Ukraine, the Middle East and the struggle for the American presidency.
Jonathan Karp acquired world and audiobook rights to War from Robert Barnett of Williams & Connolly LLP. It will be published on 15th October 2024.
War is an account of one of the most tumultuous and dangerous periods in presidential politics and American history with Trump, Biden and Harris at its centre.
With his inside-the-room reporting, Woodward shows President Biden’s approach to managing the war in Ukraine and his path to contain the bloody Middle East conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas.
Jonathan Karp, president and c.e.o. of Simon & Schuster, said: "His work on the power of the presidency is unrivalled. With War, Woodward illustrates the dramatic contrasts between Donald Trump and his opponents for the presidency – Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, making this a must-read before heading to the polls.”
Woodward is an associate editor at the Washington Post where he has worked for more than 50 years. He has shared in two Pulitzer Prizes, one for his Watergate coverage and the other for coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
