Amazon Publishing is to release a further six titles by women’s fiction author Amanda Prowse, exploring "the relationships dearest to us and how we react when circumstances push us to our limits".
Already home to three bestselling Prowse novels, Amazon Publishing’s Lake Union Publishing imprint acquired world English rights from Caroline Michel at PFD.
Editor Victoria Pepe said she hoped the new six-book deal would cement Prowse's place as "the writer of family dramas".
Prowse's next book, The Coordinates of Loss, is described as "a searing look at the aftermath of the death of a child" and will publish in September 2018.
"It is tear-jerking and hopeful in equal measure," said Pepe. "We’re excited for her fans to read it, and to introduce her wonderful writing to a raft of new readers."
It will be followed by one other title from Lake Union Publishing in December 2018. Four further books will follow: two in 2019 and two in 2020.
Prowse commented: "My new novels continue to explore the relationships dearest to us and how we react when circumstances push us to our limits. Building on the success of my previous titles and with the fantastic Lake Union Publishing editorial, marketing and publicity teams behind me, I am very excited about our new titles and know my readers will love them too."
Prowse was originally published by Head of Zeus, releasing 14 titles with the firm before moving to Amazon's Lake Union imprint in 2016. She then returned to HoZ in 2017 to publish a “360° love story” as part of a three-book deal. Less than a year after announcing her return to HoZ, Prowse has returned to Amazon's stables.
HoZ c.e.o. Amanda Ridout resigned in November 2017.
