Hodder & Stoughton will publish Donal Skehan's 10th book, Everyday Cook, this autumn, his fifth title with the lifestyle team at Hodder.
Executive publisher Liz Gough bought world rights from Rosemary Scoular at United Agents. The book will be published simultaneously in hardback in the UK and in the US by Hachette sister imprint, Mobius, on 14th October 2021.
In Everyday Cook, Skehan will share easy-to-make classics and future favourites, and offer advice and inspiration on how to reclaim your kitchen without sacrificing time or flavour. The title will include meal plan suggestions, cook’s notes, time-saving tricks and achievable recipes, including one-pan chicken saltimbocca with courgettes and tenderstem broccoli, roast cherry tomato pici, no-rise no-fuss one-pan pizza, and boozy brownie meringue cake.
Gough said: "Donal has pitched this book brilliantly towards busy people and families who want to enjoy good food but don’t want to spend longer in the kitchen than necessary. Donal understands what people want to cook, and he’s used his know-how to create a book that not only looks full of joy, but is also super-practical, as it’s packed with tips and inspiration, as well as foolproof recipes. We can’t wait to publish it here in the UK, in Ireland and in the US."
Skehan commented: "I am so excited to be publishing my 10th cookbook, and the team at Hodder have been brilliant helping me bring my vision for Everyday Cook to life. I wanted to create a cookbook full of energy, with simple yet delicious meals that would bring families and friends together round the table. The beauty of this book is that it has something for everyone—whether you want super-simple, super-quick, or have a little more time to prep and can freeze or make ahead, I guarantee readers will find something everyone can enjoy together, with the minimum of fuss."
Skehan's most recent cookbook, Donal's Super Food in Minutes, was published by Hodder in 2019.
