Ebury Press has signed You Can Cook This!, the new book by social media star and chef Max La Manna, author of More Plants Less Waste (Yellow Kite).
Publishing director Lizzy Gray acquired world all language rights from Rachel Mills at Rachel Mills Literary, for publication on 30th March 2023 and US publication by Harmony/Rodale on 11th April 2023.
The publisher said: “Award-winning chef, author and presenter Max La Manna is known for delivering simple, delicious, plant-based food with big flavours to his more than 1.2 million social media followers.
“Max La Manna spent the past year gathering thousands of responses from his audience on which foods they throw away the most. With these responses, he created a list of the 30 most commonly wasted ingredients, which form the foundation of this new cookbook.
“Readers can expect to learn recipe hacks and tips on how to get the best out of food, including practical ideas for using up the whole vegetable, transforming leftovers and the best ways to store foods to keep them fresh.
“Covering everything from weeknight dinners and comforting one-pots, to sweet treats and instant crowd-pleasers, each recipe is made with minimal, easy-to-source ingredients, to help readers champion the food you already have in your fridges and cupboards and save time, money and waste.”
Gray said: “Ebury are thrilled to be publishing Max’s new book. Max has grown an impressive and highly engaged following who love his easy recipes and practical hacks. You Can Cook This! is both an encouragement that anyone can make fantastic veg-based meals and a call to arms to reduce our food waste with delicious recipes that will save time and money. This is the cookbook we all need.”
La Manna commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining the amazing teams at Ebury Press and Harmony/Rodale. Everyone has been so supportive of me since day one.
“I’m excited to be publishing this new book. It is going to help so many people use the ingredients and veg they already have to make tasty affordable meals and find simple tips to keep what they have in their fridge or cupboards last longer. I just can’t wait for people to start cooking my recipes – and wasting less food because of it.”
