Souvenir Press has seized Living the Artist’s Way: An Intuitive Path to Creativity by author Julia Cameron.
Profile Books founder and director Andrew Franklin acquired UK, Commonwealth and exclusive European rights from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein for Susan Raifhofer at the David Black Agency, and the book will be published on 4th January 2024.
The book is a six-week programme that introduces the "fourth essential Artist’s Way tool" of guidance. The synopsis says: "Through the practice of morning rituals and the faith of listening, Julia takes us further and shows how we can set the stage to receive guidance in both our lives and creative art. Writing about how she uses these tools to handle doubts in her life, Living the Artist’s Way reveals a personal side and shares Julia’s pathway toward a happier, lighter life."
Franklin said: "Julia has inspired millions – literally millions – of readers around the world with The Artist’s Way. It is the best invitation ever for everyone to find their true creativity. Now, 30 years after its first publication the power of TikTok is bringing her books and ideas to new generations of readers. How astonishingly brilliant is that.
"We are, obviously, delighted to see the huge boost that TikTok has given to all her titles. Even better, Julia’s new book Living the Artist’s Way, coming in January is a triumph in its own right."
Cameron is the author of more than 40 books, as well as being a poet, songwriter, filmmaker and playwright. Her most famous book, The Artist’s Way, was originally self-published in 1991, and published in 1994 by Souvenir Press in the UK. It has been translated into 40 languages and sold over five million copies worldwide to date, according to the publisher.
