Sphere Non-fiction is publishing a collection of vegan recipes from brothers Chad and Derek Sarno.
The authors are touted by Sphere as among the world’s foremost authorities on plant-based cooking, having worked together as global chefs and educators at Whole Foods Market.
Chad is currently head of Culinary at Good Catch Foods, whose mission is to offer plant-based "seafood without sacrifice", while Derek now lives in the UK and is executive chef and director of Plant-Based Innovations at Tesco, with whom he’s created a range of vegan ready meals, sandwiches and other products.
The title The Wicked Healthy Cookbook, contains 129 recipes, using "new innovative cooking techniques" such as using mushrooms to make "steaks" with a meat-like consistency. Other dishes are Sloppy BBQ Jackfruit Sliders with Slaw, New England Style "Lobstah" Rolls, and Grilled peaches with Vanilla Spiced Gelato and Mango Sriracha Caramel.
Adam Strange, publisher at Sphere non-fiction, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Nicole Bond at Grand Central in the US, to publish on 31st May.
The book follows Lucy Watson’s Feed Me Vegan, which according to Sphere has now sold over 23,000 copies.
