Sphere has acquired two new titles from Jack Rosewood: The Ultimate True Crime Puzzle Book and The Most Bizarre True Crime Stories Ever Told.
Tig Wallace, senior commissioning editor at Sphere, acquired UK and Commonwealth plus translation rights directly from the author. Both titles will be published on 5th October 2024.
Rosewood’s previous titles have been self-published, including his most recent, The Ultimate Serial Killer Trivia Book.
The Ultimate True Crime Puzzle Book features activities like word searches and riddles, crosswords and ciphers, designed to test readers’ detective skills, and is “packed full of compelling trivia”. The Most Bizarre True Crime Stories Ever Told features 20 strange and unusual cases that confounded the police and captured the attention of the press all over the world, the publisher said.
Wallace said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jack Rosewood’s newest titles to the stellar true crime list at Sphere. We look forward to building on the success Jack has already seen, bringing his books to even more readers in the UK and international markets. With an entertaining activity book full of captivating trivia, and a narrative title that delivers stories even the most obsessive genre fans will be surprised by, Jack’s new books are once again on the pulse of what this audience wants – the perfect gifts for true crime readers in the run-up to Christmas."
Rosewood said: “I’m very happy to be working with Sphere and the team to bring my new True Crime books to readers everywhere. These books are not for the faint-hearted, but it’s important for someone to tell these stories – shining a light on some dark and cruel defects of humanity, for readers who are trying to understand the world’s broken monsters.”
