Sphere has served up the first cookbook from "international icon" Pamela Anderson, titled I Love You: Recipes From the Heart.
Former publisher Emily Barrett acquired world English rights simultaneously with Voracious, an imprint of Little, Brown US, from David Kuhn and Nate Muscato at Aevitas Creative Management. Publisher Kelly Ellis and editor Serena Brett will publish I Love You on 15th October 2024.
I Love You was initially conceived as a housewarming gift for Anderson’s sons but is now a cookbook of "homegrown and world-influenced" recipes. The book also features images from photographer Ditte Isager and drawings by Anderson herself, with insights into "fun homemaking" such as entertaining guests and preserving the "bounties" from your garden.
Anderson said: “This book has been a labour of love – from my heart, spilling out to the universe… with all my favourite things from my life of food and whimsy… inspired by my travels but mostly from the island I grew up on, a rainforest that deserves all the glory.”
Ellis added: “I adore everything about Pamela’s first cookbook. It really is a treat for the heart, soul, and mind– both on the page and once you’ve tasted the delicious recipes she originally created for her family. Pamela has been a plant-based cook and activist for decades and we are so proud to now be sharing her expertise and wisdom with people all around the world.”
