Sphere, an imprint of Little, Brown, has signed three new novels from thriller author Tom Wood. Publishing director Ed Wood agreed a deal for UK and Commonwealth rights to the three novels with James Wills of Watson Little. All three books will be in the popular Victor series, which follows an intense, amoral assassin.
The series is also currently being adapted for TV at HBO division Max under the title The Assassin, with "Lost" star Matthew Fox in the leading role. John Glenn ("SEAL Team") is writer and showrunner.
Tom Wood’s novels have been bestsellers worldwide, and his fourth novel in the series, Better Off Dead, was chosen for the BBC Radio 2 Book Club.
Ed Wood said: "It’s a privilege to have been Tom’s long-term publisher. His fans are the best kind of action reader zealots, who recognise the unique tone and detail in these addictive books. It’s fantastic for Sphere and for readers everywhere to have three more on the way."
The first novel in the new contract will publish in 2025.
