Sphere has signed two more books by Keith Stuart, bestselling author of A Boy Made of Blocks (Sphere).
Sphere editorial director Ed Wood acquired world rights to two more books by Stuart from Eugenie Furniss of Furniss Lawton.
Stuart's debut A Boy Made of Blocks, about a father bonding with his autistic son over the videogame Minecraft, was chosen for the spring 2017 Richard & Judy Book Club and has sold 52,735 copies across all print editions, according to Nielsen BookScan. Little, Brown has sold the book into 27 territories to date.
Stuart’s second novel, Days of Wonder, publishes in June 2018 and sees a teenage girl with a heart condition and her father fight to save a local theatre.
Wood said: “If A Boy Made of Blocks showed that Keith is an author with depthless humanity, wit and emotional intelligence, Days of Wonder confirms his place as one of the must-read authors today. Never before have I read an author that can make you laugh and cry so hard with a single sentence.”
The two new books are scheduled to publish in 2019 and 2021.
