SRL Publishing has signed the next four books in Nicky Shearsby psychological thriller series, The Flanigan Files.
Stuart Debar, creative director, acquired world English rights directly from Shearsby after discussing the series with the author. SRL will publish one book a year until 2028.
The publisher commented: "After the success of Shearsby novels since her debut in 2022 and the roaring reviews she’s been getting, it just makes sense to continue the thriller series after this launched last year. Nicky has been hailed as the pioneer of the ‘why-dunnit’, rather than the ‘who-dunnit’."
The Flanigan Files series follows clinical psychologist Newton Flanigan as he attempts to solve crimes. The books are told from two perspectives - both Flanigan’s and the perpetrator’s. The next instalment in the series, The Lost Raven, will be published in September 2024 where Flanigan must stop another murder before it’s too late.
Shearsby said: "Working with SRL is refreshing. Their ability to see stories from a fresh perspective is inspired, opening doors to new concepts...I am very much looking forward to seeing where the series will go."
