Simon & Schuster Children’s UK will publish a biography of climate change activist Greta Thunberg next month.
Greta’s Story: The Schoolgirl Who Went on Strike to Save the Planet was first published by D’Agostini in Italy and was written by Valentina Camerini.
Simon & Schuster Children’s UK m.d. Rachel Denwood acquired world English language rights, excluding the ANZ region, from Sophy Williams at Black Inc Books, and described the book as “a story of hope, courage and determination”. The translator is Moreno Giovannoni and the illustrator is Veronica ‘Veci’ Carratello.
Denwood said: “Greta Thunberg is one of the most extraordinary young people of our time and her positive action and determination make her an inspirational role model for children. I am thrilled that my first acquisition for Simon & Schuster is a story as important and empowering as Greta’s and I’m immensely proud to see this book on our list.”
The book will be published on 22nd August and priced at £6.99.
