Simon & Schuster Children's UK has acquired I Love Paris!, the 15th title in the bestselling Dork Diaries series by Rachel Renée Russell.
Jane Griffiths, fiction editorial director, acquired UK & Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) from Cecilia de la Campa at Writers House.
The book will be published by Simon & Schuster globally on 15th October 2020, with a paperback to follow in the summer of 2021.
There are currently 23 Dork Diaries books printed in the UK, including a World Book Day special and five Double Dork collections. Last year, 2019, marked a decade of the series.
Simon & Schuster also plans to release the sixth Double Dork Diaries edition in December 2020 as part of a major "Christmas of Dork" campaign.
Griffiths said: "Dork Diaries continues to be one of Simon & Schuster’s biggest children’s brands, with a hugely loyal existing fanbase as well as an ever-growing readership as new fans discover the dork-tastic life of Nikki Maxwell. I’m thrilled that there will be a new dorky instalment in 2020 and am sure this latest book from Rachel Renée Russell will once again prove to be a huge global publishing moment for Simon & Schuster."
The series has sold 2.4 million copies for £12.7m through Nielsen BookScan's UK Total Consumer Market, and the bestseller is 2016's Drama Queen, with 141,282 copies sold.
