Simon & Schuster UK has signed a three-book deal with author Heidi Swain.
The deal was brokered by Amanda Preston of Luigi Bonomi Associates with publishing director Jo Dickinson. The first book in the contract, The Christmas Wish List, will be published in Christmas 2019. Two further new seasonal novels have also been acquired for 2020.
Swain’s latest book, Poppy’s Recipe for Life, will be published in May 2019 and will be backed by a consumer advertising campaign.
She has been published by S&S UK since she sent her first book, The Cherry Tree Café, to the Books and the City open submission day in 2014. S&S UK has sold 300,000 copies of her books in the UK alone, the publisher said.
Swain said: “I am absolutely delighted to have signed a new contract with Simon and Schuster for three further titles and am very much looking forward to taking my readers back to Wynbridge and beyond. The Books and The City Team are an incredible publishing family with exciting plans for the future and I am thrilled to continue my publishing journey with them.”
“Heidi is a joy to work with and a very talented novelist,” Dickinson said. “She has such passion for everything she does and we can’t wait to grow her readership further.”
