Ebury has signed another Tap to Tidy book from Stacey Solomon following the success of the first, this time focusing on the transformation of her home, which she calls Pickle Cottage.
Editorial director Laura Higginson bought world English rights, excluding US and Canada, to Tap to Tidy at Pickle Cottage – Crafting & Creating a Home With Love from Amanda Harris, managing director at YMU Books. It will be published on 29th September 2022.
TV presenter and Instagram star Solomon’s Tap to Tidy: Organising, Crafting & Creating Happiness in a Messy World was published last year, becoming one of the fastest-selling non-fiction titles since BookScan records began. It has now sold 275,000 copies across all formats, according to the publisher.
In the latest book, each chapter takes readers round a room in Solomon’s dream home, explaining how she transformed each one herself, including tips and “quick fixes” to help spruce up a room.
“I’ve loved every moment of transforming Pickle Cottage into our forever home,” Solomon said. “I never thought I’d be giving people tips on DIY or organising renovations. But I’ve learnt so much along the way and it can bring so much joy. I hope this book gives people the confidence and inspiration they need to pick up a drill or paintbrush and create their dream space.”
Higginson said: “We are so proud to publish Stacey again – and for the first time as the author of an incredibly beautiful full-colour illustrated book. I am ever inspired by Stacey’s can-do attitude to making your own happiness. This is such a positive book about believing in yourself and having confidence to create a home of your dreams.”
