Storm has acquired three books in Andrew James Greig’s Scottish Private Investigator series.
Deputy managing director Claire Bord acquired world all-language rights to the three titles directly from the author, who was longlisted for the CWA New Blood Dagger and was a McIlvanney Best Scottish Crime Novel finalist in 2020.
The first in the series sees Private Investigator Teàrlach Paterson, hired to find a missing child who mysteriously disappeared from her isolated Highland home. It will be published in January 2024, with books two and three in the series to follow in April and July.
Bord said: “Andrew’s atmospheric writing has such a strong sense of place combined with an intriguing plot, compelling characters, and a real page-turning quality. I can’t wait to share this distinctive new crime series with readers.”
Greig said: “I’m delighted to have this opportunity to work with such an innovative and dynamic publisher as Storm. Claire’s feedback and genuine enthusiasm, together with Storm’s publishing experience and global reach was a major factor in my deciding to launch this new Scottish series with them.”
