Sweet Cherry unwraps festive 'modern classic' from Sital Gorasia Chapman

Sweet Cherry has landed Little Spruce, a "gorgeous" festive picture book from Sital Gorasia Chapman and illustrated by Vicky Lommatzsch.

Commissioning editor Kellie Jones acquired world rights from Becky Bagnell at Lindsay Literary Agency for publication on 26th September 2024.

Sweet Cherry "expects the tale to become a modern classic". The story follows a tree’s "big Christmas adventure" from a field to a family home, but what will happen to the tree when Christmas ends?

Chapman said: “This book has been brewing in my head for a long time. The titular character of Little Spruce first came to me a few years ago when I saw a lonely little Christmas tree abandoned by the side of the road, and I just knew he had a story to tell!”
