Amazon Publishing’s Thomas & Mercer imprint has acquired the psychological thriller Tiny Daggers and two novels by Caroline Corcoran.
Senior editor Victoria Haslam bought world English-language rights to Tiny Daggers, The Alphabet Women and a yet untitled third novel from Diana Beaumont at DHH Literary Agency, who was formerly at Marjacq.
The synopsis states: "Publishing in summer 2025, Tiny Daggers is a caustic psychological thriller delving into the dark complexities of friendship, obsession and betrayal. When Holly Jones’ glamorous Miami life is upended by the reappearance of her seductive, enigmatic former best friend Holly Wylde, she finds herself spiralling into a psychological battle of wits and sanity where secrets from the past threaten to unravel her present. In a world where the deadliest creatures lurk unseen, Tiny Daggers twists the knife with each chapter, keeping you on edge until the final, unforgettable showdown."
Corcoran said: "As a writer – first as a journalist and now as a novelist – I am very used to working alone and in my own head for long stretches, but with anything I’ve ever written the collaborative part of the creative process and the way in which that can push and develop my writing is as fundamental.
"Seeing the quality of Thomas & Mercer’s publishing, how they champion their books and the ambition they have for their authors has impressed me for a long time."
Haslam said: "Caroline is an enormous talent and we are delighted that she has chosen to join us at Thomas & Mercer."
Beaumont added: "Tiny Daggers brilliantly explores the darker undercurrents of female friendship with the glamorous Miami backdrop ratcheting up the tension. Vic and the wider Thomas & Mercer team were so passionate about this book and so determined to get it to as many readers as possible that it feels like a perfect publishing partnership."
