Thread has signed Think Yourself Resilient, a guide to building mental strength from psychotherapist and resilience coach James Elliott.
Head of audio publishing Alba Proko acquired world all language rights directly from the author. It will be published on 27th April 2023.
Think Yourself Resilient is an “accessible toolkit that will help readers build their resilience by developing the five pillars of a resilient mindset”.
Proko commented: “James Elliott was one of the first to introduce the Mental Resilience Training programme across the British Army. Drawing from his personal hardships and experience as an accredited psychotherapist, James has created a practical model to help us build a stronger mindset. One of the things that struck me about James is how relatable he is and how he embraces vulnerability, which is at the core of his approach. As more and more people struggle with mental health and find it hard to cope in the volatile world we live in, James’ book Think Yourself Resilient is more essential than ever.”
Elliott said: “I felt that the topic of mental resilience has been misrepresented and misunderstood. I wanted to write something that could appeal to everyone, regardless of their circumstance, that might enable them to become more resilient. It started as a passion project that later defined me. From lived yet relatable experiences, from childhood trauma to sport to military service, I focus on the development of key psychological skills to build emotional resilience. I process and combine this with my qualifications as a psychotherapist to make something applicable and useful for everyone.”
