Lorella Belli of the eponymous London-based agency has sold film rights in Taylor Adams' thriller, No Exit, to Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox.
"Logan" scriptwriter Scott Frank is attached to produce, whose other credits include such films as "Wolverine", "Minority Report" and "Get Shorty", as well as being the writer/director/producer of upcoming seven-part Netflix western "Godless" debuting next month.
No Exit, a novel published by specialist crime and thriller publisher UK-based Joffe Books, follows college student Darby Thorne, who, while on the way home to visit her mother, gets stranded in a blizzard at a highway rest stop for a night with four strangers. During the night, Thorne discovers a little girl locked in the trunk of one of the cars but she doesn’t know whose car. Without cell or phone reception and trapped by the snow, she must figure out who is the kidnapper.
The book has already sold over 70,000 copies, according to Belli, who further divulged the agency was finalising deals in 12 languages, with audio rights sold at auction to Brilliance Publishing, following Frankfurt Book Fair.
