Transworld has announced it is set to publish When Gavin Met Stacey and Everything in Between: A Story of Love and Friendship by James Corden and Ruth Jones. Publication will be on 16th October 2025, in Bantam hardcover (£25 RRP), e-book and audio. Corden and Jones will read the Penguin audiobook.
Susanna Wadeson, publisher, non-fiction at Transworld bought world all-language rights from Jonny Geller at Curtis Brown.
The news comes ahead of the final instalment of the television drama Gavin & Stacey this Christmas.
In the co-authored memoir, Corden and Jones share the story of the 25-year friendship behind the BBC television series. In a joint statement, they said: "We’re so excited to be sharing the story behind the story of Gavin & Stacey. The show has played a huge part in our 25-year friendship and we hope this book will give readers a fresh insight into how it all came about."
Wadeson said: "What a huge privilege it is to be working with James and Ruth. It is incredibly exciting to hear directly from them all that happened along the way from the first spark of an idea to three series and two Christmas specials. And it is particularly special to be given an insight into their creative partnership and how their friendship has grown while Nessa, Smithy, Gavin and Stacey becoming ever-increasingly important to all of us."
