Tiny Tree Books to publish videogame designer Andrew Walker's first children's book
Tiny Tree Books has acquired BAFTA award-winning video game developer Andrew Walker’s debut children’s picture book.
A Dog on a Log with His Friend Mr Frog was acquired by Tiny Tree Books publisher James Shaw through an open submission process. It is set to be published in early 2025.
Walker said: “I was inspired to write the book by the countless nights spent inventing silly stories with my children.
“I hope that readers, especially dads, will return with cherished memories of their children’s smiles. Those moments are priceless, and this book is a tool to help foster those smiles.”
Shaw said: “As a dad myself, I could see just how this book would land with my own kids and those like them. I’m thrilled that we get to share Andrew’s work”.
The book follows Scruffy the dog who lives on a log in a smelly old bog with his best friend, Mr Frog.
Walker is from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. He was awarded a BAFTA as member of the Sony Leeds art team on the videogame "Wip3out" in 1999.
