Tiny Tree Children’s Books has snapped up a “quirky” new picture book from Lee Thomas and Raluca Farcas.
James Shaw, publisher, acquired worldwide rights to Wolfboy Jack and The Scissors of Doom directly from Thomas and Farcas. It will publish on 29th September.
The book is about a werewolf who is afraid of getting his hair cut. The character comes from the supernatural world they created in their previous picture book Molly and the Bog Sprogs, which was a bestselling title for Tiny Tree in 2019.
Thomas said: “I am ecstatic to get the opportunity to work with Raluca and Tiny Tree again and continue to expand the Bog Sprogs universe. Raluca has done an incredible job with the illustrations, building beautifully on the bright, bold, dynamic world she created in the first book. I can’t wait for people to read this hairytale for the ages!”
Farcus added: "I’m very happy to be working with Lee and Tiny Tree again! Wolfboy Jack and the Scissors of Doom was an opportunity for us to expand on this awesome monster world that we have created for Molly and the Bog Sprogs, to present more of its inhabitants and scenery and really bring the story to life.”
