Titan Books falls for 'spicy' romantasy duology from Maxym M Martineau

Titan Books has snapped up a "dark and spicy" romantasy duology and one other title from Maxym M Martineau. 

Managing editor George Sandison acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, including audio, from Kimberley Whalen at The Whalen Agency. House of Blight, the first novel in the duology, will be published in April 2025 simultaneously with HarperVoyager in the US. 

"I’m thrilled to see Maxym’s stunning break-out novel House of Blight publishing with the wonderful team at Titan UK," said Whalen. 

Martineau’s gothic romantasy follows healer mage Edira who possesses rare, lifesaving power and Orin, the undying head of a powerful magical family.

Sandison said: “I am delighted to be bringing the lush atmosphere, slow-burn romance and scheming immortal families of House of Blight to the UK. I was sucked into Edira’s world in this heady dream of a book, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
