Titan Books has scooped House of Bone and Rain, a "heart-breaking" horror novel from the New York Times’ horror columnist Gabino Iglesias.
Editor-at-large Cath Trechman acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, including audio, from Felicity Rubinstein at the Lutyens & Rubinstein Literary Agency for publication in October 2024. House of Bone and Rain will be published in the US by Mulholland in August 2024.
A novel about "brutal gang violence, ghosts and evil spirits", House of Bone and Rain is set in Puerto Rico during an intense hurricane, and follows five young men who are seeking vengeance for the murder of one of their mothers.
Iglesias commented: "I am both honoured and excited to join the amazing Titan list, which is the UK home for a lot of my favourite horror writers."
Trechman added: "House of Bone and Rain is an incredibly powerful, gripping, emotionally charged horror story, filled with the kind of characters you can’t forget. I utterly loved it. Gabino is simply one of the best storytellers out there and we’re honoured and delighted to have him join our UK list."
