Titan Books has landed Hot Water, a new thriller from crime author Christopher Fowler.
Editor Cat Camacho bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Watson, Little m.d. James Wills, for publication in paperback and e-book on 1st March 2022.
The publisher said: “In Hot Water Fowler turns his sharp eye away from arcane London to the modern-day French Rivera, where a woman waits beside the pool for her married lover. But by the time he arrives late with his family unexpectedly in tow she is gone. Now the villa's full of guests with secrets to keep, and only one person thinks she can tell the truth from the lies: Hannah, the maid. She is under strict instructions never to speak directly to the guests, but that doesn’t stop her from hearing everything they say. Hot Water is a smart, contemporary mystery that will keep readers guessing until the devastating ending.”
Fowler is the multi award-winning author of 45 novels and short stories and the author of the Bryant & May mysteries.
Camacho said: “I am absolutely delighted to have someone as high-calibre as Chris joining the list. Hot Water still keeps me awake at night after several readings, and I can't wait to see it unleashed on the world.”
Titan Books global sales director Paul Gill added: “Christopher Fowler is a huge talent in the crime genre, I couldn’t be more thrilled that his clever and compulsively readable new book has found a home among our list at Titan Books—we couldn’t be more pleased to welcome him.”
