Tom Wood signs up for two more novels with Sphere

Sphere is publishing two new novels from Tom Wood, author of the Victor series about a morally ambiguous antihero hitman.

Editorial director Ed Wood agreed a deal for UK and Commonwealth rights with Philip Patterson of Marjacq. Simultaneously a new two-book deal in the US was signed with Berkley Publishing Group, an imprint of Penguin. The author is published in 12 languages around the world.

His fourth novel in the series, Better Off Dead, was a UK bestseller and was chosen for the BBC Radio 2 Book Club. Tom Wood’s new novel, A Time to Die, publishes in April in e-book and in November in paperback in the UK.

The first book under the new contract will be published in Autumn 2017.

Film director Pierre Morel, who worked on "Taken", starring Liam Neeson, is meanwhile working on an adaptation of the first book in the Victor series, The Hunter, to be released by Studiocanal.
