Tor UK has acquired six more titles from TikTok star Carissa Broadbent, including the concluding four books in her bestselling Crowns of Nyaxia series, a standalone novel and a novella set in the same world.
Tor Publisher Gillian Green acquired UK and British Commonwealth, print rights, excluding Canada, from Chris Scheina, assistant director for rights at Macmillan USA. Tor UK will publish simultaneously alongside the US on its new Bramble romantasy and fantasy romance imprint.
Tor previously snapped up print rights in Broadbent’s independently published novels The Serpent and The Wings of Night and The Ashes and The Star Cursed King.
Part three of the series, The Songbird and The Heart of Stone will publish in hardback and trade paperback on the 21st November 2024 with the novella of Six Scorched Roses coming on the 19th September 2024. Tor said “it is the first book of the Shadowborn Duet, follows fan-favourite Mische and her journey into the dark, dangerous and sumptuous kingdom of the House of Shadow”.
The Crowns of Nyaxia series is described as “a dark fantasy romance full of heart-wrenching romantic twists, dark magic and bloodthirsty intrigue”.
Green said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Carissa and Tor US for more books in her heart-wrenching romantasy series and thrilled that the first book in our new deal will be a brand-new duology in her brilliant Crowns of Nyaxia series.”
Broadbent added: “I am so thrilled to continue this journey with Gillian and Tor UK/Bramble! It’s such an honour to have the partnership of such an incredible team as the world of Nyaxia expands. There are so many new and exciting things ahead!”
