Tor has pre-empted The Wren in the Holly Library the first book in a "spicy" romantasy trilogy from K A Linde.
Publisher Gillian Green acquired UK and British Commonwealth rights, including audio and excluding Canada, from Nicole Resciniti at Alliance Rights Agency on behalf of Red Tower Books. The book will be published in July 2024 in hardback with a trade paperback for export in June 2024.
Described as "spicy Beauty and the Beast", The Wren in the Holly Library is set in an alternate New York where monsters live among humans and a young thief attempts to steal from the wrong target.
Green said: "We’re continuing to showcase the best of the best of romantasy on Tor and I’m so delighted to be adding K A Linde’s spicy, romantic and utterly addictive novel to our list in what is only the start of a brilliantly imagined series, full of passion, intrigue and high stakes drama."
Linde added: "I’m very happy to be working with Tor UK on this project. This opportunity is a dream come true. It was truly a joy to bring this vivid monster world to life and mould the story around my devious little thief and the monster who ensnares her."
