Transworld has bagged Embrace the Chaos, part manifesto for an adventurous life and part playbook for military-grade productivity, from ex-special forces soldier and television presenter Jason Fox.
Editor Henry Vines acquired world rights from Emily Rees Jones and Lucy Kilner at M&C Saatchi Merlin. The book will be written with Matt Allen and published in May 2024.
With 52 short chapters of practical, actionable advice, Embrace the Chaos sets a programme of personal challenges designed to help readers "reboot, change their thinking and rebalance their life".
Fox has written two other books with Transworld including Battle Scars and Life Under Fire which, according to the publisher, have sold over 600,000 copies and look at Fox’s military experiences and struggles with mental health.
Vines said: "However big or small the challenge, I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have in my corner than Jason Fox. Embrace the Chaos is like having Fox as your personal mentor, guiding you through the storms of life and pushing you to become just that little bit better every day."
Fox said: "I know better than anyone that life can feel chaotic and overwhelming at times, but I have also learned that we are capable of so much more than we think. This book is about probing our limits, embracing challenges and accepting change. It is about pushing ourselves that little bit further – sometimes taking big leaps into the unknown, sometimes small steps or behavioural shifts that can make a real difference. I hope it prompts readers to embrace new experiences and improve themselves just that little bit on a daily basis."
