Transworld has bagged Unfiltered: My Incredible Decade in Formula One by Guenther Steiner, former team principal of the Haas F1 team.
World English rights were acquired by Henry Vines, editorial director, from Tim Bates at PFD. Rights have been sold in six territories to date. Unfiltered will be published in October 2024.
Unfiltered follows Steiner’s Surviving to Drive (Transworld) that documented his team during one season of Formula One. Now, following from his departure from the Haas F1 team at the end of 2023, Unfiltered sees Stein reflects on a decade of leadership and charts how he created a team now worth one billion dollars. It is an "intimate record" of his time, "packed with extraordinary insights [and] outrageous stories".
Vines said: "In Surviving to Drive, Guenther took us through the roller-coaster of a single season in Formula 1. Now, he shares the full story of his time at Haas, from its inception to his exit. As the only figure to have built a team from scratch and then helmed that team for its first decade, Guenther has a unique vantage point that he is able to share here for the very first time. The result is gripping, revealing and – as you’d expect from Guenther – completely authentic and very entertaining."
Steiner added: "The natural successor to my first book, Surviving to Drive, was always going to be the story of my time creating and running the Haas F1 team, although I have to admit I wasn’t expecting it to happen so soon! It’s the book that everyone wants to read. It’s an incredible story, in my words, and I cannot wait to share it."
