Transworld has netted a “new approach to female wellbeing” from The Well HQ team.
The Well HQ was founded in early 2021 by former GB rower turned international coach Baz Moffat, Dr Bella Smith and former English Institute of Sport scientist Dr Emma Ros.
Kate Fox, deputy publishing director, acquired world rights to How To Be Well from Charlotte Atyeo at Greyhound Literary. It will be published by Bantam Press in spring 2023.
The publisher said the book “educates women to know more about their bodies to be able to maximise their approach to fitness and thrive”. It teaches readers how to understand their bodies and the issues holding them back, so that they can train better and enjoy being active.
The Well HQ team said: “Female health is not an alien dialect, but it’s a new language we all need to learn if we’re to truly appreciate how the female body works so we can unlock new dimensions of health, performance and confidence.
“The silence and shame, ignorance and inertia in women’s health has to stop, and this is our starting point. We’re so glad to team up with Transworld to spread the word and push the mission to a new level. We’ve worked for decades to infuse conversations, actions and best practice in women’s health with this knowledge and this is the platform to take the mission forward.”
