Transworld lands two more thrillers from Lapena

Transworld will publish the fifth and sixth thrillers by The Couple Next Door author Shari Lapena.

Frankie Gray, publishing director at Transworld, acquired British Commonwealth rights including audio to two new thrillers from Lapena from Helen Heller at the Helen Heller Agency.

Lapena’s debut thriller, The Couple Next Door (Transworld), was the biggest selling fiction title of 2017, followed by Sunday Times bestsellers, A Stranger in the House and An Unwanted Guest, now a Richard and Judy Book Club pick. Her fourth thriller, Someone We Know, will be published in July.

Gray said: “This year will mark publication of Shari’s fourth novel in three years and we have been honoured to help bring these phenomenal thrillers to the hundreds of thousands of readers who love them, and to establish Shari as one of the fastest-growing brands in the market. The author was a lawyer and teacher before becoming a full-time writer.
