Formula 1's Johnny Herbert memoir to Transworld

Transworld is publishing Formula One “legend” and Sky Sports presenter Johnny Herbert’s memoir. 

Transworld editorial director Giles Elliott bought UK & Commonwealth rights from Tim Bates at PFD literary agency for What Doesn’t Kill You… My Autobiography.

Herbert is the winner of three Grand Prix and one of only nine British drivers to win a Grand Prix since the 1970s, as well as 24-hour race Le Mans. He is now one of the lead pundits on Sky Sports' Formula 1 channel.

Elliott said: "It’s a real thrill to be publishing Johnny Herbert’s book this autumn. He’s the people’s champion, a real hero of F1, not just for the unimaginable things he had to go through to achieve so much in so many forms of motorsport over so many years, but for the style and humour with which he went about it. And of course he’s got a whole host of stories to unleash on the public…"

Herbert said: “I am really looking forward to sharing my stories from the world of motorsport in what has been an amazing and incredible ride. Putting it all together has been so much fun, remembering the countless characters I have met over the years from the karting days to the world of F1 and some absolutely incredible races, it really has been so much fun to write.”

What Doesn’t Kill You… My Autobiography will be published in hardback on the 3rd November.
