Arrow has acquired two new novels by saga author Nancy Revell.
Viola Hayden, editor at Arrow, negotiated the deal for world English rights with Diana Beaumont of Marjacq Scripts.
The two books will be numbers four and five in her Shipyard Girls series, and will continue to follow the group of girls as they live, love and work in Sunderland during World War Two.
The first book in the new contract will be published in March 2018, following on from the publication of Secrets of the Shipyard Girls (Arrow) in September 2017.
Hayden said the series had already been "a big hit" with saga readers. The latest in the series, Secrets of the Shipyard Girls, made the top 20 for paperbacks according to Nielsen TCM.
Nancy Revell is the pseudonym of writer and journalist Amanda Revell Walton, who is from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, within a few miles of where the Shipyard Girls series is set. She herself also comes from a line of shipbuilders.
She said: "I'm delighted to be with the fabulous team at Arrow for another two books in the Shipyard Girls series. Not only are Arrow top of the tree in the world of the saga series, but they are a genuinely lovely set of people to work with."
