Two-time Booker winner Carey in new Faber deal

Faber has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to Man Booker winner Peter Carey’s new novel.

Publisher Mitzi Angel acquired the rights from Peter Straus at Rogers, Coleridge & White.

Set in Australia, A Long Way from Home opens in 1953 and follows the Bobbsey family and their neighbour Willie; they decide to enter the Redex Trial, a brutal car race that circumnavigates the country.

Faber will publish in January 2018.
