HarperCollins has acquired An Unofficial Lovefest: The Oasis Activity Book by Nathan Joyce, with Pavilion commissioning editor Lucy Smith acquiring world all-language rights from Ben Dunn at DunnFogg Literary Agency.
Joyce has previously published activity books on the likes of Taylor Swift—with An Unofficial Lovefest: The Taylor Swift Activity Book—Elton John, Dolly Parton, David Attenborough and Michelle Obama, and the books include trivia, puzzles and quizzes. An Unofficial Lovefest: The Oasis Activity Book will be published on 5 December 2024 in paperback and e-book format.
Joyce said of Oasis, who recently announced a new tour: “Their music has been the soundtrack to much of my life and so this book will be a thrill to write. As anyone who’s seen this activity book series will know, it’s not quite like any other book. It’s part activity book, part extraordinary facts and stories, part biography, part personal tribute and part celebratory silliness.
“I wanted to find a way to connect with fans, share some of the magic and make people smile with something exciting on each page, and thanks to the crack team at Pavilion, that dream has become a reality.”
Smith said: “This is the book for anyone who had a poster of the Gallagher brothers on their wall growing up, who were decidedly Team Oasis in the 1995 Battle of Britpop, and for all those thousands of diehard fans—both young and old—who jumped online for tickets as soon as the reunion tour was announced.
“This is the sixth activity book we’ve published with Nathan and the level of research and detail that goes into each of his books never fails to astound me. The books are playful, fun and a great gift for any fan. Just as we saw Swifties waving around copies of the Activity Book in the Eras tour queues, I can’t wait to see this tucked into parka pockets up and down the country come December.”
