Varoufakis to introduce Marx's Communist Manifesto
Vintage Classics is publishing The Communist Manifesto with an introduction by Yanis Varoufakis to mark the 200th anniversary of Karl Marx's birth.
The pocket edition comes with a "substantial" introduction by the economist and Varoufakis, author of And the Weak Suffer What They Must? (Bodley Head) and Adults in the Room (Vintage).
Nick Skidmore, editor at Vintage Classics, said Varoufakis' contribution to the project was "inspirational" and had channelled the defiant spirit of Marx and Engels with his "impassioned argument for how the Manifesto can empower us to understand our present, and enable us to take control of our future".
It publishes on 26th April 2018 ahead of Marx’s bicentenary on 5th May.
