Vermilion has bagged a non-fiction book, Things I Wish I’d Known, from "parenting influencer" Emily Norris.
Editorial director Samantha Jackson acquired world rights from Oscar Janson-Smith at Gleam Futures, and the book will publish 7th March 2024.
Norris is a mum of three and a YouTuber who has been "creating positive, upbeat and sanity-saving content for mothers with young families". Since 2014, her channel has grown to over 800,000 subscribers, with her videos generating over three million views on a monthly basis.
The synopsis for Norris’ debut says: "In Things I Wish I’d Known, Emily shares quick and clever hacks and habits to help make the parenting juggle at little easier. These include Emily’s firm favourites, as well as dozens of new ones, all designed to give everyday life a lift and bring less stress and more joy around the home."
Norris said: "I’m excited to be publishing my first book with Ebury! I feel passionately about helping parents feel calmer and more organised, and have poured everything I have learned over the past 10 years into my book. The hacks and habits have been absolute game-changers for me, and I can’t wait to share them with the world."
Jackson added: "Emily has a huge and loyal following, and has earned the name ‘queen of mum hacks’ for her easy hacks around the home. This book brings together years of creating and collating the most useful hacks, and we can’t wait for this beautiful book to reach Emily’s fans and beyond."
