Veronica Henry has signed a new three-book deal with Orion Fiction.
Publisher Harriet Bourton acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Araminta Whitley at LAW Agency.
Henry, known for writing family dramas, has written 13 novels amassing sales for Orion of more than 1.3 million copies. Most recently A Family Recipe, set partly during the WW2 bombing of Bath, published with Orion in May, hitting the Sunday Times bestseller list at number 10. Orion will publish her next novel - a sequel to her novel The Beach Hut, called Christmas at the Beach Hut - in November.
Bourton said Orion had "ambitious plans" for the former TV scriptwriter and were positive she had many more bestsellers in her yet.
"Working with Veronica is such a joy – she makes every book original and fresh and she understands her readership so well. She brings an effervescence to her storytelling which quite simply shines from the page," she said. "We have very ambitious plans for Veronica’s future and are excited about the many more bestsellers she doubtless has to come."
Henry added: "I couldn't be more delighted. I have a stellar team behind me at Orion: writing books is about teamwork and I wouldn't be where I am without them all. I'm incredibly excited about the future and working with everyone. I am in very safe hands."
