Viking to publish 'First Dates' official tie-in
Viking is publishing the official companion to the BAFTA-winning Channel 4 reality TV show "First Dates".
Joel Rickett and Emily Robertson at Viking acquired UK rights to First Dates: The Art of Love from Julian Alexander at LAW, acting for the show’s producers Twenty Twenty and Fred Sirieix.
The book is authored by Fred Sirieix, the "insatiably charming" Maître'd of the First Dates restaurant, who publishers promise will "bring the First Dates world to the page", including "the heart-warming twists and turns of the most awkward meal of the daters' lives".
Sirieix and his team will also share their "match-making secrets", from breaking the ice to the rules of attraction.
"First Dates" returns to Channel 4 this month with a run of four celebrity specials and a further 24 new episodes this autumn.
The book will publish in hardback and e-book on 22nd September 2016, priced £14.99.
