W F Howes, RBmedia’s UK publishing brand, has acquired the audio rights for the next eight books (parts 22 to 29) in R R Haywood’s The Undead horror series.
Senior acquisitions editor Craig Thomson bought world English language audio rights for the eight titles directly from the author. The titles will be published under the company’s Quest imprint, with Joe Jameson as the narrator. The first of the new audiobooks will be released this summer.
"The Undead — a terrifying, apocalyptic epic — is a compelling and gritty story driven by strong humour about a deadly zombie epidemic as it spreads around the world, brutally wiping out humanity," the synopsis says.
Haywood commented: “I am thrilled to be working with W F Howes again. We formed a really strong bond producing Fiction Land, so it seemed natural to work together on the latest season of episodes in The Undead.”
Thomson added: “R R Haywood is one of the finest science fiction and horror writers out there at the moment. Following the success of his brilliant Fiction Land audiobook, we couldn’t be happier to have scooped the next eight books in this hugely popular series, and we can’t wait to get Joe in the studio and start recording Part 22, which is due out this summer.”
