Walker books will publish Nikki Lilly's Come on Life: Highs, Lows and How to Live Your Best Teen Life.
Executive editorial director Denise Johnstone-Burt acquired all language world rights from Blakeway North, producers of Lilly’s CBBC show "Nikki Lilly Meets". The guide will be published in October 2020.
Lilly started her YouTube channel at the age of eight after being diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a rare medical condition. The condition creates life-threatening nose bleeds, facial swelling and migraines. Lily uses her YouTube channel to spread "inspirational messages of positivity". On her CBBC show "Nikki Lilly Meets" she has talked to celebrities such as Louis Theroux and Theresa May.
In her first book, Lilly will give teen readers an "inspiring and contemporary outlook on how to live their best life". The book will include content about Lilly's own life, inspirational quotes, top tips and reader challenges.
Lilly commented: "Life can throw many obstacles at you, but it’s how you deal with them that defines who you are. I did not choose to be born with a chronic illness, but I do choose to make the most of every single day of my life and make every second count. Imagine if every single one of us could inspire just one person, what an amazing world this would be."
Johnstone-Burt added: "I feel privileged to have worked with Nikki. She is a deeply inspirational and life affirming young person who faces the challenges that life has thrown at her with incredible spirit."
