Welbeck has landed Change Your Space: Reclaim Your Home, Your Time and Your Mind by “professional organiser” Dilly Carter from the BBC One show “Sort Your Life Out”.
Publisher Jo Lal acquired world rights from Carly Cook at The Found. The guide will be published on 16th March 2023.
Change Your Space will combine Carter’s “straight talking and practical approach” with her personal story in a no-nonsense guide to clutter-free living. With tips and practical ideas on to organise your space, readers will “learn how to review and clear your ‘stuff’ so that you can improve your home and reset your approach on how to live”.
The publisher added: “In Change Your Space, Dilly will show you how to streamline your possessions as you upsize, downsize and everything in between. When you stop allowing your life to be filled with things that no longer matter, you instantly gain the time, space and energy to focus on the things that do.”
“There has never been a more relevant time to publish a book on how to clear clutter and organise your space, and Dilly is the queen of organising,” said Lal. “Her story is an inspiration and told with such humility and her book spoke to me: it touches so many elements of all our lives through the simple but challenging act of addressing our mess. Since the pandemic we have all been forced to be more flexible, learning how to use the space we have differently. Dilly has such a fresh take on decluttering and how important it is for our wellbeing; she takes you gently by the hand, helping you every step of the way, and all the time you know you are in the company of someone who walks their talk. I am so very proud to welcome Dilly to the Balance list.”
Carter added: “I am so excited to be publishing my second book with the brilliant team at Welbeck. My mission has always been to help people control their space rather than be consumed by it. Everything I teach, show and discuss comes from my own life experience as well as from the houses I work in day in and day out. I feel so passionate about helping people change the situation they are in if they are struggling. Our space is ever changing as our lives get busy and our families grow. So I am here to give you the honest, yet practical, truth about the changes you need to make in order to improve your home and to help you make the difficult decisions.”
