White Lion Publishing has netted a “fun and accessible” baking book by Rich Myers.
Jessica Axe, publisher, acquired world rights to GET BAKED®: Sensational Cakes, Bakes & Desserts directly from Myers. It will publish in spring 2023.
GET BAKED® in Leeds shot to fame during “Sprinklegate”, when its founder, Myers, capitalised on the banning of his use of US sprinkles. Rather than going quietly, he declared he would never use the inferior British variety and boycotted all sprinkles until he had created a UK version that does the job to his satisfaction.
His book will include recipes for a range of desserts including cookies, brownies, cakes and pies.
Myers said: “Growing up, I spent a lot of time watching cookery shows with my dad. He loved food, and he instilled that same passion in me. I’m very lucky to be in the career that I’m in, because I get to live out my dreams every day, serving delicious baked goods to the masses. If I’m honest, I never dreamed I would ever have the opportunity to write a book. It’s something that felt so out of reach, and I am unbelievably happy that I’ve been given this chance.”
Axe added: “When I first came across the GET BAKED story, I was completely hooked by this one man’s unwavering love for the best quality sprinkle!
