Wiley autobiography to Hodder

Hodder has signed the “Godfather of Grime” Wiley’s autobiography.

World English rights to Wiley: The Autobiography by Richard Kylea Cowie, better known as Wiley, were signed by senior editor Briony Gowlett from Harriet Poland at The Hanbury Agency Ltd.

Wiley is a British grime MC, songwriter and record producer.

He said: “‘Looking forward to sharing my story, coming in November. Big respect to Briony, Hodder and my team for helping making this happen. Also dropping the Godfather Album in September to go alongside the book, and film coming soon. 2016/2017 let’s go!"

Gowlett said: “Artists don’t come much more exciting, unpredictable and authentic than Wiley. This book will be everything his fans have been waiting for and we are plotting an unforgettable publication campaign that they will love.”

Poland added that Wiley’s personal story was “fascinating”. “We can’t wait to see what Wiley and the great team at Hodder create,” she said.

The book will be published in hardback on 3rd November 2016.
