Zaffre acquires two new ‘sweeping' historical romances by Wilson

Zaffre Books has acquired two new books by Patricia Wilson in a continuation of the long-standing relationship between the publisher and author. 

The first, The Summer of Secrets will be published May 26th 2022 and the second in spring 2023. Sarah Bauer, editorial director, acquired all language rights including film and TV.

The Summer of Secrets follows the journey of a divorced and bereaved Olivia to the Greek island where her late mother was born, and into her mysterious family history dating back to the Second World War. 

Bauer said: ‘‘I’m absolutely delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with Patricia Wilson. Her sweeping historical romances are deeply rooted in sense of place and time, making them the perfect escapist read for anyone dreaming of Greek Island getaway – something I think we’re all doing at the moment.”

Zaffre Books has previously published five titles by Wilson, Summer in Greece (2021), Greek Island Escape (2020), Secrets of Santorini (2019), Villa of Secrets (2018) and Island of Secrets (2017). 

Wilson said: ‘‘I am thrilled to be publishing two more books with Zaffre. Sarah has guided me since my debut and it is with her unwavering support that I continue to produce a new novel each year.
