Zaffre, an imprint of Bonnier Books UK, will publish Summer in Greece, the publisher's fifth novel with Patricia Wilson.
The imprint previously published Wilson's Island of Secrets (2017), Villa of Secrets (2018), Secrets of Santorini (2019) and, most recently, Greek Island Escape (2020).
Summer in Greece will be a dual-narrative novel which will follow solitary vet Summer on her escape to a beautiful Greek island, where she discovers the memoirs of her great-grandmother, whose secret life will help Summer face her own tragic past.
Senior editor Sarah Bauer acquired all language, film and TV rights direct from the author, and will publish the novel in April 2021.
Bauer commented: "After the year we’ve all had, I am more thrilled than ever to dive into another fantastic novel from Patricia. Once again, readers will be swept away to the beautiful Greek shores. When escapism is so desperately needed, it is wonderful to be working with the queen of the genre."
Wilson said: "I am delighted to be working with Sarah Bauer and the whole wonderful team at Zaffre again. I was inspired to write my next novel, Summer in Greece, from learning about the story of the 'HMHS Britannic', sister ship to the 'HMS Titanic', which sank during the Second World War near the Greek island of Kea."
